Join us in the activities that make us the FRIENDLIEST 187 year old church in Lake County, Illinois. It has been a busy summer, with childrens' game nights, outdoor worship under the old oak tree, Vacation Bible School, musical events, and of course, uplifting worship services. As the swealtering heat wanes, autumn fun is just getting started.
August 31 come and enjoy a "Live Music Event", celebrating God's love, together.
September 1 we welcome our most precious creatures at our annual "Blessing of our Pets". Please bring your curious cat, precocious pooch, or even your michievous monkey to spend time with other loving animals. What a great time to enjoy a wonderful service under a gorgeous old oak tree with the animals we love at one of Illinois' most historic churches.
Many of us have at one time or another or may be affected by suicide. One of our Deacons has encountered a group named "QPR" (Question, Persuade and Refer) and found it to be very worthwhile. On September 11, at 7:00 pm, they will conduct an one and a half hour session teaching potential warning signs and proper actions. Please attend this important training. A signup form was passed during worship August 4, and is now posted on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.
After September 29 worship, don your best lederhosen and dirndl at Ivanhoe Congregational Church's Oktoberfest. Music will be provided by BILL'S LITTLE BIG BAND. Max's Dog House of Libertyville will be cooking to order hamburgers and hotdogs for you to purchase and enjoy while with your Ivanhoe friends.
