Ivanhoe Congregational Church of Mundelein has begun a partnership with Samaritan Counseling Center to meet the need for counseling services in the community. In a confidential setting at the church, families, couples, and individuals work with Samaritan counselors to process grief, anxiety, depression, marital issues, and conflict in a safe place that fosters discovery, healing, and growth.
Samaritan Counseling Center is a professional organization that integrates psychotherapy and spirituality in their counseling, education, and consulting services. They offer hope, dealing and restoration by treating the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. Staff therapists are licensed, certified, and theologically informed.
Pam Bretthauer, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with adults, couples, adolescents, and groups. She helps people who are struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, grief, bipolar, relationship difficulties, spiritual growth, personal growth, career issues, stress management, sleep problems, workplace conflict, divorce recovery and anger management. Pam has more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field.
Samaritan Counseling Center adds a layer of caregiving to the care ministries provided by Ivanhoe Congregational Church. The addition of licensed professional counseling extends the pastoral care and counseling we can provide to church members and the community. Mundelein counseling will take place in the church library. Additional offices are located in host churches across the North Shore and administrative offices are based in Winnetka.
Samaritan Counseling Center accepts many insurance plans, and a sliding fee scale is available, based on in-come and family size. To schedule an appointment, call 847-446-6955, ext. 15. To learn more about Samaritan Counseling Center, visit northshoresamaritan.org.
