Reflections From Red Bird Mission Trip

During the Sunday, March 8th service, our congregation celebrated one of the ways we bring ministry outside of the church. We heard testimony from four of our members who spent the week of March 11 serving with brothers and sisters from two other UCC churches at Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky (part of Appalachia). Our volunteers were joined by one former member and one family member along with eighteen others to embody the love and grace of Christ through service to a community in need. The bulk of the work focused on rebuilding decks, replacing floors and repairing walls as well as helping to clean and organize the mission resale shop. The service recording is shared below.

Bryan Sirchio brought his unique musical ministry to Ivanhoe Church on Sunday, February 4

We were blessed and excited to welcome Bryan Sirchio to lead our 10 am worship service on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Bryan shared with our congregation his message of God’s love and hope through his inspirational music and mission work in Haiti.

Among the songs he shared were the Philippians 4:5-9 chorus, Worms in the Bread, Dream God’s Dream, More Than I Need, The Wooden Bell, The Perfect Church, Table of Friendship and Love and I See You. With permission from Bryan, we are pleased to offer this audio recording from the service …
