Our Vision Statement

We are a people of God’s extravagant welcome, come, share your journey with us.

We are a 19th Century church, with a 21st Century message. Ours is a vibrant, diverse, loving and supportive faith community with a rich, ongoing history of active ministry, and a steadfast belief in God’s universal grace. We work together in covenant with one another and God, as revealed in Jesus Christ and empowered by the “still speaking” Holy Spirit. We share God’s extravagant welcome with all people. We welcome and equally affirm persons of every race, ethnic origin, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental ability, economic or educational status, and family configuration into the full life and ministry of the church. We are strongly committed to social justice and responsible stewardship of God’s creation. We engage in mission, both locally and globally, in cooperation with others of faith “that they may all be one” in the body of Christ.

No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.

Mundelein LUNCH Program Underway

Ivanhoe Church is participating along with six other local churches in the Mundelein LUNCH (Local United Network to Combat Hunger) Program at both Hanrahan Park and Gordon Ray Park in Mundelein.   We will be serving lunches from Monday, June 5, through Friday, August 11, between 12 noon and 1 pm.

We still need volunteers for the program. Volunteers are asked to help load the coolers at New Hope Church, located at 1401 S. Lake Street in Mundelein at 11:30 and then should head to the parks. This is an extremely rewarding experience and you will immediately see the joy on the children’s faces as they enjoy the lunches furnished by the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

To volunteer go to Mundeleinlunch.org and follow the prompts. You can work one day or many, depending upon your schedule. Please contact the church office with any questions.
